Eusebio Di Francesco was “very happy with the reaction” as Sassuolo fought back for a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.
Borja Valero had opened the scoring early on, but Sergio Floccari’s header maintained their unbeaten home record.
“I have to say it was a really good game and the result is fair enough, even if we pressed hard in the second half and threatened to win it,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“I am very happy with the reaction of the team after a difficult start. I liked the attitude of the players, it reminded me of the game against Napoli.
“We tend to give our best against the bigger clubs, because at times we need that extra pressure to raise the concentration levels.”
It was a great result considering star striker Domenico Berardi is sitting out a three-match ban.
“This team proved that even by changing its players, it does not change its approach to the game. Nobody has a guaranteed place in the line-up.
“We have shown that Sassuolo can trouble any opponent with great intensity, but I want to see that same intensity away from home too.”
Di Francesco has been linked with the Roma job for next season.
“I am not worried by what people say, but clearly it’s nice to be linked to a great team. I have a fondness for Roma, but Rudi Garcia must be left to do his work.”
