“I really like being at the Dall’Ara, as this is a wonderful city and a great atmosphere for football. I hope to see an entertaining game too,” said the Sassuolo Coach.

“Bologna got off to a bad start against Lazio last week, but ended strongly and were ultimately unlucky not to equalise.

“The Rossoblu are improving as time goes on and want to do well in front of their own fans. They have a striker like Mattia Destro who can score at any moment, while Franco Brienza played under me and I can attest he’s always decisive.

“Some of our new signings need to settle in, but I have confidence because this is a great group of players.”

Sassuolo beat Napoli 2-1 in a shock opening result, but lost Domenico Berardi for six weeks, while Luca Antei is also sidelined.

“It’s a shame to lose Berardi, but I have replacements who are up to the task,” added Di Francesco.

Sassuolo squad for Bologna: Pomini, Consigli, Pegolo; Longhi, Vrsaljko, Peluso, Acerbi, Ariaudo, Fontanesi, Gazzola, Terranova, Cannavaro; Magnanelli, Pellegrini, Missiroli, Biondini, Laribi, Duncan; Falcinelli, Politano, Sansone, Floro Flores, Defrel, Floccari
