“We want to bring home as many points as possible, as the final two rounds of the season are prestigious fixtures for us,” said Di Francesco.

“Udinese had highs and lows, much like Sassuolo, but we have to focus on ourselves. I have to make some changes, as Matteo Brighi has a fever and Sime Vrsaljko won’t be back in training until Tuesday.”

Much has been written about Di Francesco’s situation, as he is in the frame for jobs at Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Empoli and even Udinese.

“Next week my future will be decided, but I will say there’s a very good chance I will stay here.”

Simone Missiroli is suspended with Emanuele Terranova, Gianluca Pegolo, Vrsaljko, Brighi and Luca Antei sidelined.

Sassuolo squad for Udinese: Pomini, Consigli, Celeste; Longhi, Acerbi, Bianco, Fontanesi, Gazzola, Cannavaro, Peluso, Natali; Magnanelli, Chibsah, Biondini, Taider; Zaza, Sansone, Berardi, Lazarevic, Floro Flores, Floccari
