Eusebio Di Francesco has reportedly agreed terms with the newly promoted Frosinone, replacing the departed Fabio Grosso.

The 2006 World Cup winner guided the club back to the topflight after winning Serie B this season, finishing seven points ahead of second-place Genoa. Grosso chose not to renew his contract with Frosinone, reportedly telling them through a text message, forcing the club to find a replacement.

Di Francesco quickly emerged as one of the favourites for the job, still being out of work following his brief spell with Hellas Verona back in 2021.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Di Francesco has almost reached a total agreement with Frosinone director Guido Angelozzi, keen to take over as the new head coach.

Once a highly rated coach, Di Francesco did well at Sassuolo before moving to Roma in 2017. He took the club to the Champions League semi-finals, but was dismissed in 2019, starting a difficult spell for the tactician. Brief spells followed with Sampdoria, Cagliari and Hellas Verona, and his stocks quickly dropped.
