Chievo Coach Mimmo Di Carlo has downplayed his team’s goalless run that has seen the Mussi Volanti go without scoring for 400 minutes.

Since a 51st minute strike in early April’s 3-2 win over Catania, the Gialloblu have gone four games without finding the back of the net. However, Coach Di Carlo does not see a crisis and suggested that Tuesday opponents Roma might be the first to find out why he isn’t worried.

“We hope to end this run but it doesn’t bother me too much,” he declared on Monday.

“As with other moments that we have already experienced and overcome, we will return to scoring.

“We are creating opportunities, as we saw both at Bergamo and against Cagliari. It is not a situation to be assessed as problematic. The team is fine and I am confident for the game against Roma.

“In Bergamo we were beaten by a feat of Maxi Moralez, otherwise even that game was even.

“Did I mention that in these last few games I have a goal to achieve – 50 points, and it means from the final three games we need another six points.

“I expect great desire from my players and the right ‘nastiness’ from them too. We have the tools at our disposal to embarrass Roma and we will use them.”
