La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Di Carlo's dismissal will be made official today and that Alberto Cavasin is the favourite to step into the breach.

The 55-year-old has coached Fiorentina, Lecce and Brescian in the past. However, he faces competition for the post from Beppe Papadopulo, Gigi Cagni and Gianni De Biasi.
