Sampdoria Coach Domenico Di Carlo expects his side to start scoring soon after a fairly barren run in front of goal this season.

The Blucerchiati have already recorded five 0-0 draws in the current campaign and Giampaolo Pazzini has found the net just once in the League.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's trip to Lecce, Di Carlo said: "We have a great desire to do something different to what we have one lately.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's trip to Lecce, Di Carlo said: "We have a great desire to do something different to what we have one lately.

"The lads have worked better this week. They are motivated. They know that there is a difficult game ahead of us, but also that they can do well against Lecce.

"We expect a spurt on the counter attack above all on the strikers' part. Pazzini is an extraordinary player, but there is also Nicola Pozzi, Guido Marilungo and also Bruno Fornaroli.

"Now it's up to the team to give some more solutions to them, exploiting their characteristics and working on the timing which they miss at the moment.

"Changing the partnership up front has created problems for us in terms of movement, but it's normal in cases of this nature. When the goals arrive, our strikers make us win many games.

"I am very confident. I say it with conviction," he concluded.
