“I want to thank the President, director and club for giving me the opportunity to come back to Serie A in a place where I experienced happy and important years in both my growth and that of Chievo,” said Di Carlo in his Press conference.
It is Di Carlo’s third stint at the Bentegodi after spells from November 2008 to May 2010, then June 2011 to October 2012.
“Within me has sparked everything I needed. We are in November, there is time to make a difference in the table.”
Chievo are still waiting for their first win of the season, managing only three draws in 12 Serie A rounds.
“It’s important that we look at the table as little as possible. I am ready and fired up, I know where I’m coming from. We need work to bring the group together and must focus on positivity, because the fans and club know they’ve got a Coach now who won’t let go until the final whistle.
“I am thoroughly convinced that together, rediscovering our spirit of belonging in the Chievo jersey, we’ll realise that we can do this. It’s a long journey, but we’ll play with the Chievo spirit, day after day building the right mentality.
“We need a battling approach and to remember this is a magical jersey.”
