Lazio legend Paolo Di Canio is set to be named as the new boss of English lower League outfit Swindon Town.

The 42-year-old met with Swindon chairman Jeremy Wray recently and he will be handed control of the side.

Di Canio, who has been working as a TV pundit since retirement, has wanted to get into management for some time.

The former West Ham United player replaces Paul Hart at the club after they were relegated from League One this term.
