“I saw a team that is improving physically. On paper, the match against Napoli was a prohibitive game.
“I can’t complain about the lads, except to be more convinced and braver in attack because it could hurt them.
“We gave our all and it’s an important sign. At the end of the match at the San Paolo, I had a different feeling compared to the match against Cagliari.
“I saw better things and I liked what I saw in my players approach. People think we are dead but I’m not so sure. We are alive and from tomorrow an onwards we must accelerate.”
But Di Biagio expects a tough game against an on-form Milan, who have picked up six points in their two Serie A games since football resumed in June.
“It will not be an easy game, but this doesn’t mean that we won’t be able to get a result,” Di Biagio added. “We must have the mental strength with us, an attitude and aggressivity beyond our position and results.
“We must have more malice because I think we can still have our say. The next four games will speak volumes and if we can steal points, we can have our say.”
