Luigi Di Biagio will name his Italy Under-21 squad on Thursday for the crunch Euro 2015 play-off encounters with Slovakia.

The 2013 European runners-up head into October’s two-legged play-offs looking to progress to the finals of the 2015 edition tournament, to be staged in the Czech Republic.

Victory over two legs against Slovakia will see Italy make the tournament for a second time in a row, after failing to qualify for the 2011 edition.

Di Biagio will name his selection on Thursday, before the players gather on Sunday October 5 at Mancini Park Hotel in Rome and leave for Slovakia three days later.

October 10 will see the first leg played in Zlate Moravce. The next day the Azzurrini will return to Italy, with a training session at Coverciano scheduled for Sunday.

The team will then move to Reggio Emilia on October 13 and will host a Press conference which will be attended by Di Biagio and the mayor of Reggio Emilia, Luca Vecchi.

The second leg takes place a day later at Sassuolo’s Mapei Citta del Tricolore Stadium.
