Gigi Di Biagio is tipping Inter to win the Scudetto, as “Juventus are weaker now and Roma need at least two strikers.”
The Italy Under-21 Coach spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the season coming up and is keeping a particularly close eye on his former clubs.
“I think it’ll be a race between four or five teams. My heart hopes for Inter and Roma, but leaving the heart aside I am tempted to tip Inter.

“Having players functional to the team is almost everything. Last year Marcelo Brozovic was at a certain point their most important player.
“Inter have great individuals, but now it also depends on which two forwards will arrive and whether they are functional to Roberto Mancini’s football.”
Juventus brought in Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, Sami Khedira, Simone Zaza and Daniele Rugani, but Di Biagio is unimpressed.
“As things stand, Juve have become weaker. I am curious to see how they do without Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez, as they were always decisive in the tricky moments. There’s a long way to go in this transfer window.
“Roma have an excellent midfield, but they need at least two strikers. I would also never sell Alessio Romagnoli. Milan need to get their defence right and Romagnoli is ready to be the man Sinisa Mihajlovic requires.
“However, for the moment even Sinisa shaking them up might not be enough. I think Milan remain a bit of a mystery.”
Napoli disappointed last term and have a relative Serie A newcomer in Maurizio Sarri.
“Sarri does intrigue me. He is a great Coach and I am sure he’ll find the right mechanism to make Napoli a more attack-minded team.”
