Roma's prospective new owner Thomas Di Benedetto has reportedly made contact with England general manager Franco Baldini.
It has been widely reported in the capital that Di Benedetto would like to bring Baldini back to the Roma to plan their strategy.
Baldini would reprise the position he held between 1999 and 2005, during which time Roma won the Scudetto.
He then followed Fabio Capello to Real Madrid and later to England.
Reports in Italy claim Di Benedetto spent Friday in Florence with his son and bumped into Baldini.
