Gerard Deulofeu is reportedly happy to join Inter, but Barcelona will only let him leave if they sign Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.

The Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their squad in January, but Financial Fair Play concerns mean they can only do loan and swap deals this month.

They have been heavily linked with a move for Deulofeu – though it’s not clear if he can actually leave Barça this month – and Tuttomercatoweb reports the winger is keen to return to Italy.

The former Everton man spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, and he wants to be playing regularly to win a place at the World Cup.

However, the Blaugrana won’t let him leave unless they can do a deal for Coutinho this month, and they’d want at least the €12m they paid for Deulofeu.

Inter can’t agree to that, as they can only afford to do a straight loan deal if they’re to stay within FFP guidelines.
