Udinese forward Gerard Deulofeu hopes his former club Milan will go all the way in Serie A this term and remembers Gianluigi Donnarumma already being ‘a monster at 16’.

The Friuli prepare to host Milan in Serie A this week and Deulofeu recalled his time with the club in Via Aldo Rossi.

The Spanish winger spoke to The Italian Football Podcast and stressed he’s focused on Udinese and will give everything to his former club on Saturday.

Ibrahimovic ‘disappointed’ but focused on ‘winning the Scudetto’

“I enjoyed playing at Milan a lot, I did well there and had fun,” Deulofeu told the Italian Football Podcast. “I respect Milan a lot, but now I’m focused on Udinese.

“We can beat them, we will enter the pitch with the mentality and anger of a lion. Scudetto? I hope Milan win, even if they’ll lose to us,” he said and laughed.

He then explained his impression of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left Milan after his deal expired in June.

“I saw him play at only 16 with Milan, already at that time he was a real monster.”
