Gerard Deulofeu admits Udinese didn’t start well against Juventus and explains how the Friulani managed to recover from two goals down.

Udinese went two goals down in the first half, but goals from Roberto Pereyra and Gerard Deulofeu helped the host to snatch a draw against Max Allegri’s side at the Dacia Arena.

“We didn’t start well, you must be perfect against big clubs, there’s no room for mistakes and that’s what we did in the second half,” Deulofeu told DAZN.

“We scored two difficult goals, we must do the same for the entire game the next time. We improved when we pressed high up the pitch, that’s what you must do against top clubs, with personality. It’s a great start.

“Time will tell what we can do, we have self-esteem, every player must give everything,” he continued.

“I’ve suffered a lot due to injuries, but now I can smile, I enjoy every training session now, that’s what football is about. It’s still a long way.”

  1. The highlight for me was watching Ronaldo get a yellow for celebrating the goal only to have the goal disallowed for being offsides. Udinese represented the bianconeri much better…that god-awful yellow in Juve’s kits has to go.
