Gerard Deulofeu responded to a Napoli fan on social media, dropping a hint about a possible move to the Campania capital.
The 28-year-old Spanish forward had a great season with Udinese, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 34 Serie A appearances. He seems ready to return to a big club and Napoli have been keen to pick him up for a while now, deep in talks with the Friulian club.
During a Q&A on his Instagram, Deulofeu responded to a fan inviting him to join Napoli, dropping a clue about his future.
“I have a lot of respect for Napoli, they’re a top club.”
Napoli are looking to pay around €10m plus €3m in easily attainable add-ons for the 28-year-old Deulofeu, believing him to be a strong addition to Luciano Spalletti’s squad. The add-ons can be broken down as follows: €1m after making 10 appearances and €2m of other attainable bonuses.
The Spaniard will give Spalletti a much needed boost in attack following the departure of Lorenzo Insigne.
