According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roberto Mancini will be appointed as Saudi Arabia’s national team coach, earning €30m-a-year until 2026.

Mancio suddenly resigned as Italy’s boss barely two weeks ago, prompting the FIGC to appoint Luciano Spalletti as his replacement.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mancini has reached an agreement with the Saudi Federation to become their national team coach until the 2026 World Cup.

The pink paper claims Mancini will earn circa €30m per year for the next three years. An announcement from the Saudi Federation is said to be ‘imminent.’

Saudi Arabia will be involved in the Asian Cup in January. They have won the trophy three times in history, but the last was in 1996.

According to the report, Mancini will soon meet his staff members to prepare for the new chapter of their careers. He could be joined by Inter legend Lele Oriali, who was Italy’s team manager during Mancini’s time in charge of Italy.

Corriere dello Sport reported earlier this week that Gigi Buffon could replace Oriali.
