Inter picked up Davy Klaassen from Ajax to be a last-minute reinforcement for Simone Inzaghi’s squad, securing a low-cost deal.

The Nerazzurri worked hard to strengthen their squad this summer, picking up a number of players like Davide Frattesi, Benjamin Pavard, Marcus Thuram and Carlos Augusto.

Inzaghi’s side have won their opening two outings of the new season against Monza and Cagliari and are keen to maintain momentum as they look to secure the Scudetto for the first time in two years.

Page 10 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport underlines the details of Klaassen’s deal with Inter, joining the club on a free transfer from Ajax.

He has put pen to paper on a one-year deal worth €1.5m net per season, with an option for a second based on favourable terms.

During his time with Ajax, Klaassen made 321 appearances across all competitions, scoring 93 goals and providing 50 assists. His arrival adds a little more depth to Inzaghi’s midfield.
