Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed an agreement between Juventus and Leeds United for the transfer of Weston McKennie and according to Sky Sport Italia, the American midfielder will move to Elland Road on loan with an option to buy for €35m.

Allegri revealed at a press conference on Saturday that Juventus and Leeds have shaken hands over McKennie’s transfer to England.

The American midfielder won’t be available for a Serie A clash in Turin against Monza on Sunday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Leeds will pay €1.5m for the player’s loan until the end of the season. They can make his move permanent in June for €35m.

Their option will become an obligation to purchase if certain conditions are met in the second part of the campaign.

According to Sky Sport, McKennie’s agents are now finalising the agreement with Leeds, but previous reports claimed the 24-year-old is happy to move to Elland Road so it should not be a problem to finalise the deal also considering that McKennie has already spoken to Leeds boss Jesse Marsch.
