Milan directors are making their assessments on players on loan at the club and according to Gazzetta, the future of Sergiño Dest, Brahim Diaz and Aster Vranckx is uncertain.

The Rossoneri are facing issues on the pitch, having won just one game in 2023, losing the Supercoppa derby against Inter on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri are making their assessments on players on loan at the club and some of them won’t be confirmed for 2023-24.

According to Gazzetta, Milan are currently unwilling to pay €20m to make Dest’s move from Barcelona permanent. The USMNT international is not a regular starter at San Siro and his performances do not justify such a transfer fee.

Brahim Diaz’s two-year loan spell ends in the summer and the Rossoneri will likely try to negotiate a lower fee than €22m to sign him permanently from Real Madrid.

Vranckx’s clause is €12m and according to Gazzetta, it’s impossible that Milan will pay €50m to sign him, Dest and Brahim on permanent deals, so at least one of them will go.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara also making assessments on players who are permanently part of the team and some of them will also leave.

Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante’s contracts expire in the summer and according to Gazzetta, they will be released in June as Milan won’t offer the pair a new deal.

Only one between Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw will remain, while the club will listen to offers for Fode Ballo-Toure.

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s loan from Chelsea expires in the summer and surely he won’t remain beyond June. Milan won’t make his move permanent and hope to part ways with the France midfielder in the winter transfer window to save on his salary. Adana Demirspor’s directors are in Italy to negotiate with the Rossoneri.

Yacine Adli’s future is also under scrutiny as he hasn’t gotten regular playing time this season. The same is true of Ante Rebic who has often been forced to the sidelines, offering unconvincing performances when involved.

Milan hope to extend with Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud. The Portugal star’s deal expires in 2024, while Giroud’s contract runs out on June 30, 2023.

3 thought on “Dest, Brahim, Vranckx and more: who will leave Milan in the summer?”
  1. Speculative, yes but fairly obvious to anyone watching the team too. A child could write this. Although Leao needs to be added to the list of players leaving. About time Milan fans accepted that.
