France Coach Didier Deschamps says his team do not fear Germany ahead of the World Cup quarter-final between the nations.
Les Bleus have had an impressive run in Brazil thus far, winning three and drawing one of their four matches in the tournament to date.
“We are not scared, we have prepared for this match the best we can,” Deschamps said at a Press conference on the eve of the match at the Maracana.
The former Juventus midfielder also responded to claims by German counterpart Joachim Low that the French are the favourites going into tomorrow’s clash.
“How lovely. I’ll say that at the start of this World Cup it was they who were the favourites. Germany have a lot more experience than we do.
“I think that they had problems against Ghana, for example, but they always got out of it.
“We all know it – they are a very solid team who are balanced and have good players.
“Since the start of the World Cup, Germany have used a lot of players and changed their positions on the pitch. That is a sign that they are solid.”
