Tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina will see Serie A’s best attacks go head to head in a match that could prove key in the title race this season.

Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri side currently top the league table with 53 points, four ahead of their intercity rivals, with a game in hand. They have been on fire this season, scoring 53 goals in 22 games and losing only once, working hard to try and defend their Scudetto.

Things have also been looking positive on the other side of Milan; Stefano Pioli’s team are tied for second in the Serie A table, and they’ve scored 47 goals in 23 matches, netting more goals than the likes of Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.

This sets up an exciting derby tomorrow at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium; as the race for the Scudetto begins to truly heat up, picking up three points tomorrow could prove to be the difference maker for either side come May.

  1. It is actually amusing that with the strikeforce that we have (old, injury prone, slow, etc etc), we still manage to score that much. Imagine if we have a reliable striker who’s available all the time, coupled with better output from #10 and RW, we could be much, much better next season.
