The last weekend was anything but impressive for the Inzaghi brothers as Simone lost the Milan derby while Filippo was sacked by Serie B side Brescia.

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter suffered a 2-1 defeat against Milan on Saturday night, seeing both the Rossoneri and Napoli move one point close to them on top of the table.

Inter have a game in hand, but visit Napoli at the Stadio Maradona next weekend. Inzaghi said the Nerazzurri dominated the match against Milan but somehow failed to win it.

It was just the first step of a terrible weekend for him and his brother Filippo, who was sacked from Serie B side Brescia barely more than 24 hours later.

The choice of President Massimo Cellino came after Brescia’s 0-0 draw away at Cosenza on Sunday but was very surprising as Brescia sit third in the Serie B table, just two points off leaders Lecce.

The Rondinelle have also reached the record for away victories in their history under Inzaghi this term, but according to Sky Sport, the coach’s different views with Cellino regarding the club’s development led to his dismissal.

  1. Almost my heary stopped. For the moment I thought Simone is sacked. So soon? But, then, I read at newspapers, his brother is sacked. Hope Pippo find better job. 🙂

  2. Chin up, Pippo, the way they’ve been doing things at Brescia he’ll get his job back within three weeks.

  3. What idiot owner lets go of a coach that has his team 2 points outside the top spot. Only in Italian football.
