Memphis Depay is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Juventus after agreeing a contract termination with Barcelona.

The 28-year-old Dutch forward joined the Blaugrana last year on a free transfer after leaving Olympique Lyon, but could already depart as the club work to resolve their financial issues. Barcelona’s situation forces them to cut some players and Depay is willing to leave, ready to try a new adventure.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Depay has now agreed to a contract termination with Barcelona, allowing him to join a new club on a free transfer. The player has already agreed to a two-year contract with Juventus, understood to be worth around €5m net per season plus €2m in add-ons.

The final details are now being resolved and Depay is expected to leave Catalonia for Turin at some point next week, ready to join Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.

During his year with Barcelona, the 28-year-old scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 36 games across all competitions.

  1. Who know maybe this could be a good move for him. Playing with less pressure at a smaller club could help him as Lyon showed us. However with Allegri there in lies the issue.
