Palermo Coach Delio Rossi has hinted he could be at Roma next season. “I have a Lazio past, but see nothing scandalous in that.”

The tactician was famously fired and re-hired in the space of 35 days and has now taken the Sicilians to their first Coppa Italia Final since 1979.

“I have a contract that expires in June and until that moment I will think only about Palermo,” he told Radio TV.

“I will make my first evaluation with the President. First of all, I must communicate with my club.”

There have been strong reports linking him with the Roma bench for next season when American investor Thomas Di Benedetto will be in charge.

It would be quite a turnaround considering Rossi was a fan favourite at Lazio who took a dip in a Roman fountain after winning the derby.

“Roma? I am a professional. I am proud and certainly do not deny my Lazio past, but I see nothing scandalous in going to manage a different club.”
