Nigeria international Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has landed in Rome ahead of his Lazio medical for a transfer from Hatayspor.

The 23-year-old creative midfielder was pictured at the airport as he arrived this evening and will undergo the tests on Saturday.

A product of the Manchester City academy who also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Dele-Bashiru moved to Turkish club Hatayspor as a free agent in the summer of 2023.

He scored nine goals and provided six assists in 39 competitive games for the side, and also has one goal in two senior caps for Nigeria.

Lazio details of Dele-Bashiru deal

This is widely expected to be a loan for €2m with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a further €4m.

That allows Lazio to pay less than the €7m release clause in his Hatayspor contract.

Meanwhile, the Biancocelesti also announced today that they have loaned Romano Floriani Mussolini to Juve Stabia with an option to buy and a counter-option.
