Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero believes Paulo Dybala doesn’t start for the Old Lady because of his physical shape and warns Andrea Pirlo about his future.

"I haven’t spoken Andrea [Pirlo] directly,” Del Piero told Sky Sport after the Old Lady’s 2-0 win over Dynamo Kiev in Champions League.

“If we look at the game against Crotone, it certainly denotes several criticisms and comments about Juventus’ game style or the fact that they didn’t bring home the three points.

“We must understand the moment they are living. There have been talks of a generational change and not having time to change and understand the team.

“With strong players, one can get out of difficulties, but these two things have to be mixed a little bit.

“Timing will be the key. If Andrea will be able to stay there and qualify for the last-16 stage and be a scudetto contender, he will have done an extraordinary job. Otherwise, questions will be made.

“However it is not the right time to talk about it, we’ll have to see what happens in a few weeks or a few months.”

Paulo Dybala has recovered from an injury and made his debut against Dynamo Kiev coming off the bench in the second half.

"In my opinion Dybala does not play for his physical shape. Then I let to mister [Fabio] Capello talk, he preferred to keep a player on the pitch even if he wasn’t fully fit and then replace him…".

Del Piero referred to the many times Capello replaced him when he was in charge of Juventus between 2004 and 2006.
