It may have taken Dusan Vlahovic only 32 seconds to score in the Champions League, but he misses out on two Juventus records to Alessandro Del Piero and barely makes the top 20 in the all-time charts.

The former Fiorentina striker made history with the fastest goal for a Champions League debutant, netting with his first touch against Villarreal in tonight’s Round of 16 tie.

However, Del Piero still has him beat on two club records in this tournament.

That is because Del Piero scored 20 seconds into the game against Manchester United in 1997, so remains the fastest Juventus goal in the Champions League.

Vlahovic flies into second place ahead of Gonzalo Higuain, 74 seconds against Tottenham Hotspur in 2018, and Mario Mandzukic after 77 seconds against Real Madrid in 2018.

Del Piero also remains the youngest Juventus player to score on his Champions League debut, at the age of 20 years and 308 days, achieved in September 1995.

Vlahovic is a positive veteran in comparison, aged 22 years and 25 days.

As for the fastest ever Champions League goal, Vlahovic only makes it into 19th place.

The record is held by Roy Makaay, 10.12 seconds into Bayern Munich 2-1 Real Madrid in March 2007.
