Alessandro Del Piero sent Juventus fans wild with a new Instagram post where he posed with the Old Lady’s veterans Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.
The Bianconeri legend is in Turin with the Los Angeles Juventus Academy. On Sunday, he returned to the Allianz Stadium for the first time in ten years, watching Juventus’ home clash against Bologna.
Del Piero paid one more visit to Continassa yesterday, where he met his former teammates Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini. They took a picture together, which received thousands of likes and comments from Juventus fans who want to see the former striker return to the club.
Tardelli joins calls for Del Piero to become Juventus President
“We have sorted attack and defence, who should we call in midfield for a five-a-side football game?” the former striker wrote.
Juventus legend Marco Tardelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport yesterday that the former striker would be helpful at the club and many Bianconeri fans hope their idol will soon be offered a role at the club.
However, it remains to be seen whether that would happen under the presidency of Andrea Agnelli, given that the club’s chairman and the ex-striker aren’t on good terms. That was also the main reason why Del Piero hadn’t watched a Juventus game in Turin before last weekend.
