Del Piero noticed gesture of ‘furious’ Allegri in Villarreal vs. Juventus

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was not happy with his players during their Champions League clash against Villarreal and Alessandro Del Piero noticed a familiar gesture of the Italian tactician towards the end of the game.

The Serie A giants picked up a 1-1 draw in Spain in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 last night. Dusan Vlahovic’s opener after less than a minute was cancelled out by a Dani Parejo goal in the second half. Allegri seemed disappointed by his players’ performance and could not hide his feelings.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Allegri was so furious with his lads that took his jacket off, throwing it on the floor in the final minutes of the game. His gesture was also spotted by Alessandro Del Piero, who was at La Ceramica to comment on the match as a pundit.

Allegri had exactly the same reaction almost seven years ago. It was December 2015 and Juventus risked not winning against newly-promoted side Carpi. Allegri shouted to his players and threw his jacket on the floor, one of his most iconic gestures during his first five-year spell at the club. That time, the Old Lady managed to snatch an away 3-2 win.
