Del Piero: ‘Juventus still favourites’

Alessandro Del Piero believes Juventus are ‘still in pole’ for the Scudetto race, but is intrigued by ‘big investments’ elsewhere.

The Bianconeri legend will be a pundit for Sky Italia next season, and gave his opinion on the campaign ahead.

“Our League has had difficulties but [last season] we had three teams in the final stages in Europe,” Del Piero told the TV channel.

“There’s work to be done on the problems in our football, there has to be a willingness to go deep and continue this Italian movement.

“Juventus are still in pole position, because they’ve won for the last four years, and have a  solid structure. They moved quickly with buying and selling, and have clear ideas.

“That said, there’s still time to see who will rival them for the Scudetto.”
