Juventus will appoint a new board of directors and will likely replace Federico Cherubini in the summer, while reports on Alessandro Del Piero, Beppe Marotta and Antonio Conte’s return intensify. Here’s how the Bianconeri could rebuild after the board of directors resigned.

Exor, the holding company with a controlling stake in the club, has already appointed a new CEO and the President who will replace Andrea Agnelli.

Maurizio Scanavino will be the new CEO, while Gianluca Ferrero has been indicated as the successor to Agnelli after the ex-president and the entire board of directors resigned on November 28.

WHO ARE JUVENTUS’ NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO?

The new board of directors will mostly consist of technical figures who can navigate the chaos the club finds itself in and restore financial stability, but the sporting area will also be revised in the coming months.

Tuttosport reported on Thursday that current sporting director Federico Cherubini is likely to leave in the summer. Juventus are considering several candidates for the job and want to hire somebody with a deep knowledge of football, able to sign promising players who can raise their value at the club.

The Bianconeri appreciate the work of Cristiano Giuntoli, Igli Tare and even former Roma and Torino director Gianluca Petrachi who had signed Gleison Bremer at Torino for just €6m.

Cherubini will remain at the club until the end of the season along with Max Allegri. The coach has a contract until June 2025 and is strongly backed by club owner John Elkann. However, the second part of the season will be decisive for his future at the club.

Both Tuttosport and today’s edition of Il Corriere Dello Sport report Allegri’s position will be discussed at the end of the season.

Antonio Conte remains a candidate for the job, but CorSport claims the Italian tactician will begin talks to extend with Tottenham soon, given that he hasn’t received guarantees about his return to the Allianz Stadium.

Likewise, both Beppe Marotta and Alex Del Piero have been linked with a return to the club. Del Piero could replace Pavel Nedved on the board of directors, connecting the control room at Continassa to the team, just like the former winger.

The legendary Juventus striker refused to comment on rumours linking him with a return to Turin last week.

Marotta, who spent eight years at Juventus, leaving in October 2018, has recently extended his contract with Inter in June 2025. However, after La Repubblica, Il Corriere Dello Sport confirms Juventus consider his return to the club.
