Alessandro Del Piero and Paulo Dybala discussed their best goals in a Juventus jersey and continued to prepare for a free kick duel.

The past and present Bianconeri Number 10s spoke on an Instagram livestream about their experiences in Turin, harking back to their pledge for a set-piece challenge.

“Remember, 10 free kicks with the right foot and 10 with the left” against Gianluigi Buffon, noted Del Piero.

They decided to choose their favourite goals scored in the Juventus jersey.

“I think the one you scored against Inter last month was the best, because it was so complex. Others had more technique to them, but this was a complete goal,” said Del Piero.

“Perhaps it was, I don’t think Samir Handanovic was expecting me to hit it first time,” came the reply. “It’s a pity I was unable to celebrate it with the Juventus fans, as the atmosphere behind closed doors isn’t the same.”

The pair then compared their favourite free kick goals, in preparation for the duel.

“The one against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, but also with Bologna, 2008 against Zenit or even the 2-0 at the Bernabeu. Leaving that stadium to applause was unforgettable,” said Del Piero.

“In terms of importance, the one with Atletico Madrid was up there, because we won with that goal and I had so little time to make that decision,” replied Dybala.

“Miralem Pjanic told me to take the free kick low, but I hit it high and as hard as I possibly could. Jan Oblak wasn’t expecting that. It was a tricky one, as there were so many chances for that to go wrong.”

Dybala and his girlfriend Oriana are recovering from the coronavirus, having tested positive along with Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.

“I had symptoms for a bit longer than Oriana. I had to interrupt my training sessions and the doctors sent vitamins, but fortunately I’ve felt better the last couple of days. I’m waiting to see the latest test results.”
