Spurs host Andrea Stramaccioni's men in the last 16 of the Europa League this evening, and the England international has revealed that it is a huge game for him personally, after he missed the last encounter between the two in 2010 through injury.

“It is going to be a difficult game because Inter are an incredible football team,” he told the club's official website.

“As a club they have won everything.

“They have a lot of new players [since the last time they met] but we all know it's going to be a hard game.

“Italian teams are always well organized, intelligent and tactically aware. But on that level our manager is one of the best – we'll be ready.

“For me this game means a lot more because I missed out the last time. Obviously it was a big disappointment, but now I have another chance and I cannot wait to play.”
