Angel Di Maria’s proposed move to Juventus has elicited a mixed reaction from Bianconeri supporters on social media.

Football Italia told you on Monday how the Argentina winger is closing in on a free transfer to the Allianz Stadium.

The deal will be for a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months and a salary of €7 million net per year.

And, while the prospect of a seven-time title-winner across three European leagues is an attractive prospect to some fans, others believe that, with Di Maria no 34, Juve should be looking elsewhere.

  1. He will certainly decline into the same deck chair as PhD, 1Mbps set me to sleep after 12 seconds lol.
Juventus is a step down for him and that is the truth. He has won the CL with Real Madrid and P$G still have a better chance with the oil money. Good place to retire. On his first day he can visit the treatment room run by Flimsay and will never have to go beyond the halfway line. PhD Max is planning to revolutionise the style of play and pack up shop after 25 minutes to defend even the 0-0. This season he has been too daring trying to win games 5-0 and more CALMAAAA is needed.

  2. A bit odd considering one of the reasons why Kulu was sold was because a fast turtle could beat him in a sprint. How is Di Maria holding up these days?

  3. Di Maria to rebuild the team? WOW!! I am a Juventus ultran fan, but it seems that buying old players or getting them in free transfer is best Juve’s administration can do.

  4. Shows the desperation, and mismanagement of Juve. Get rid of Agnelli, Nedved, and the tobacco salesman.

  5. He’s at the end of his career and it’s hard to reject a move to Italian football with Juve.
Italian football would suit him, but not necessarily Allegri’s style.

If Juve are planning to go with experienced and accomplished players, Di Maria is not the greatest choice. Pogba and Perisic, I can understand.

  6. agnelli annd allegri – the genius combination of winning no trophies and maybe getting kicked out of Europe. No wonder Elkann is only heavily investing in the structure. People come and go, Juve remains.
