According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Maurizio Sarri will hold a ‘decisive’ meeting with Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito today, but Lazio have already shortlisted a few alternatives.

Tare met Sarri on Monday, and although the summit is described as a ‘positive’ one, it was not enough for the two parties to reach an agreement.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus coach will once again meet Tare in Rome today. This time, Lazio President Claudio Lotito will also attend the meeting, which will be the decisive one for the future of the Tuscan tactician.

The two parties have similar views regarding the team’s development and summer signings but haven’t reached an economic agreement yet.

Sarri reportedly wants two new full-backs, one midfielder, one winger and a striker. According to the report, the likes of Elseid Hysaj, Charalampos Lykogiannis, Nahitan Nandez, Josip Ilicic and Rafael Santos Borré are the first names on Sarri’s agenda.

However, the coach has demanded a €4m-a-year salary, while Lazio offer a €3m-a-year deal plus add-ons. Juventus have paid their former coach €2.5m to end his contract one year before its expiration, so the coach is free to talk to any other club, and Lazio must not pay any fee to the Old Lady.

The Biancocelesti, however, have already shortlisted a few alternatives, should the coach reject their offer.

Vitor Pereira is reported to be the No.1 option if negotiations with Sarri collapse. Tare met the Portuguese coach in Rome on Tuesday. Sergio Conceiçao and André Villas-Boas are also monitored by the club, and so are Fabio Liverani, Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Pirlo and Luca Gotti.
