Brighton and Hove Albion are the latest club interested in Roma outcast Nicolò Zaniolo, hoping that Roberto De Zerbi can get the best out of the Italy international.

Zaniolo has asked not to be included in the squad for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Spezia, as his rapport with the club has broken down completely.

His current contract runs to June 2024 and neither party want to continue together, so a January exit is on the cards with his agent currently in London for negotiations.

While Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have made approaches on loan with options to buy, newspaper Il Tempo claims that Brighton and Hove Albion are the latest Premier League side to show an interest.

They hope the presence of Italian coach De Zerbi will help Zaniolo to settle and instil more discipline in the 23-year-old.

Brighton just sold Leandro Trossard to Arsenal for €24m and would reinvest the same sum in Zaniolo, but Roma are holding out for at least €30m.
