Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly contacted Sassuolo regarding a move for Jeremie Boga, but Atalanta are still in pole position to sign the Ivory Coast international.
Roberto De Zerbi joined the Ukrainian side after 2020-21 and journalist Fabrizio Romano reports he has asked about Boga’s situation at Sassuolo.
Shakhtar have reportedly contacted the Neroverdi and are ready to include Manor Salomon in the operation.
Boga arrived from Chelsea in July 2018 and has excelled at the Mapei Stadium and was one of the most important players during De Zerbi’s time in Reggio-Emilia.
His contract at the Mapei Stadium expires in June 2023 and Atalanta have been linked with a move for the winger.
Romano reports the Orobici are still leading the chase to sign the Ivorian but are yet to match the asking price of €25m.
Atalanta have reportedly offered €20m for the former Stade Rennais, Granada and Birmingham player.
The 24-year-old has appeared in nine Serie A games this term, contributing three assists in the process.
