Roberto De Zerbi insists Shakhtar Donetsk want to secure a Europa League spot by finishing third in their Champions League group.

The Ukraine side visit Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza tomorrow.

It kicks off at 17.45 UK time.

“It will be a tough game, for many reasons. First of all, we face a strong team, with great players who have been playing together for many years,” De Zerbi said at a pre-match press conference.

“There will be enthusiasm in the stadium, like on Sunday against Napoli, but we want to earn points to still have a chance to finish third.”

Shakhtar have only collected one point in four Champions League games. They managed a draw in the reverse fixture in Ukraine against the Nerazzurri.

“We haven’t won a game in the Champions League because we didn’t deserve it. We played good games against Inter and Real Madrid,” said De Zerbi.

“Tomorrow, we’ll be without some key players and the team’s characteristics will depend on the players on the pitch.

“I don’t feel pressure. Actually, I always feel it, against any team. Whoever does this job knows the pressure that we must handle.”

The former midfielder was sent off after telling Rukh Lviv manager Leonid Kuchuk he ‘is in the wrong profession.’

“I spent five seasons in Serie A and I never got a red card,” De Zerbi said.

“It happened on Sunday, but I had a reason to be irritable. It was an isolated incident. I live the games with passion, I don’t think it’s a defect. Football is passion. You can’t take it away from me.”
