“Unlike Lazio, we are not accustomed to playing every three days, so will need some rotation after the midweek round,” pointed out De Zerbi in his Press conference.

“We are looking for points in Rome. Lazio are a very physical side, so we must try to be positive and attacking, maintaining our concentration at the back too.

“Ciro Immobile is the one to watch out for, as he can create a goal out of nothing. He is one of the few Italian strikers to combine pace with strength.

“We want to get back what we should’ve had in previous games, as lately whenever we return from an away fixture, it is with a sense of disappointment. I’d like for us to return home on Sunday feeling pleased.

“It’s a tricky situation, because if we lose and the teams behind us win, then it’s going to tighten up back there. I think 35 points certainly won’t be enough to guarantee Serie A safety, so we need a lot more results.”

De Zerbi was asked about his status on the Sassuolo bench and potential to move on.

“I hope to remain here in future and see the maturation of the young players around me. Other than having a contract, I work as if I will be here for many years.”
