Roberto De Zerbi admits Sassuolo aim for Europe and explains why Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputo made him proud.

The Neroverdi beat Crotone 2-1 at the Ezio Scida and their coach dedicated the win to the club’s CEO Giovanni Carnevali whose mother died earlier this week.

“We wanted this victory and we dedicate it to our CEO. We can challenge for a place in Europa League, I don’t see why we should not do it,” De Zerbi told Sky Sport Italia.

Francesco Caputo scored the winner from the spot in the second half.

“I pick Berardi as the first penalty kick taker, followed by Caputo. Once on the pitch, they decided together and they made me proud,” De Zerbi admitted.

“I am always proud of my team, even when we lose. We could have scored more goals, but we were not clinical.”
