Stefan De Vrij is ‘improving’ but reports suggest he could still miss Lazio’s next six games.
The Dutchman was injured on international duty, and has already been confirmed as missing tomorrow’s Europa League clash with Dnipro.
However, Corriere della Sera reports that the situation could be worse, and predicts that De Vrij could miss the next six games – Dnipro, Napoli, Genoa, Verona, Saint-Etienne and Frosinone.

“De Vrij is improving,” the Aquile’s orthopaedic consultant Stefano Lovati assured on Lazio Style Radio.
“We’ll know something more in 7-10 days, when we can start to get an idea of when the lad can return to the pitch.
“For the moment we’re unable to set a date for his recovery.”
The doctor did, however, assure that Lucas Biglia has shown ‘significant improvement’ and will be back in around 10 days, as well as giving an update on Miroslav Klose.
“Our German colleagues have informed us that tests went well, the response from the athlete has been positive.
“Miro needs two more weeks of personalised training, starting from scrath, and will use these 15 days to put him back on track athletically and aerobically.
“Assuming all the preparatory work to return to the pitch goes well, we’ll start him training with the squad as soon as possible.”
