Lazio’s Stefan De Vrij is ‘really happy to be back’ from a lengthy injury and says ‘I want to work with Simone Inzaghi.’
The Dutch international had a knee operation at the start of the season and has missed almost the entire campaign with the Biancocelesti after excelling last term.
He’s now back training with the club and spoke to Lazio Style Radio about his delight at being back in the fold and working under interim Coach Inzaghi.
“I feel very good, I’m really happy to be back,” said De Vrij.

“I feel very good, I’m really happy to be back,” said De Vrij.
“When I got injured I immediately focused on the recovery, in these cases you can be sad initially but in order to feel good I wanted to look to the future.
“I’ve worked so hard to be here today. I liked the welcome my teammates gave me a lot, I couldn’t have expected any more.
“I’m really happy to be on the pitch with the team and to be training. I’m not just happy to see my compatriots, but the whole team.
“Future? First we’ll finish the season as best we can and then we’ll think about the next one. Inzaghi seems really good to me both tactically and as a person, I want to work with him.
“I’m happy to be back in Rome, I can’t wait to see our fans.”
