Inter defender Stefan de Vrij said he has only just ‘started talking to’ Sevilla forward Luuk de Jong again after the disappointing Europa League Final.
The Netherlands have regrouped ahead of their two UEFA Nations League games this week and De Vrij will be De Jong’s teammate again.
The Sevilla forward scored twice in the first half to help the Spanish side secure a 3-2 win against Inter, and De Vrij admitted he didn’t speak to the Dutch striker for a while.

“I have started talking to him again after the Final,” he told NOS. “Now we are teammates again, that’s how it goes.
“It always remains a disappointment. It had been a long and special season. We have been playing all summer and we can only rest for a week before we start again now.
“It has been quite challenging.”
Juventus confirmed the Holland international Matthijs de Ligt underwent surgery on a shoulder problem earlier this month and De Vrij says he’s doing fine.
“We were in Sardinia together, in the same area. He’s fine. He must recover now,” De Vrij added.
