Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij has asked for a postponement of his meeting with CONI to explain the misfiled paperwork on his doping test.

The centre-back was tested after the Verona game on February 19, but had to provide two samples to reach the required threshold.

That should have seen him sign two declarations, but the Dutch international only put his name to one.

Both samples came back clean, but De Vrij must still meet with CONI to explain what happened, and that was supposed to happen today.

However, instead the Biancocelesti sent two doctors to meet with the Olympic federation, with the player requesting a delay.

The reason, ANSA reports, is that his lawyer is in England on business, so a new meeting is likely to be held next week.
