Juventus loanee Mattia De Sciglio admits he’d like to stay at Lyon and reveals why he didn’t join PSG.
The former Milan defender joined the Ligue 1 side on loan from the Old Lady this past September.
“I’d like to stay here, but I am aware it’s not up to me. We’ll see what happens at the end of the season,” the 28-year-old told 20 Minutes.
De Sciglio was close to joining PSG in January 2021, in a swap deal with Layvin Kurzawa.

De Sciglio was close to joining PSG in January 2021, in a swap deal with Layvin Kurzawa.
“It’s true, I was close to PSG, but in the final moment the deal collapsed for a decision of Juventus.
“Now I am at Lyon and I am very happy to be here.”
De Sciglio played 24 games across all competitions so far this season.
Lyon do not have an option to make the player's move permanent, so they'll need to discuss a fee with the Old Lady if they want to sign the player permanently.
