Morgan De Sanctis says he wants a new contract at Napoli given his desire to one day end his career at the San Paolo.

“For now, I’m just focused on ending the season in the best way possible,” said the goalkeeper. “At the end of the campaign, I then hope that my agent can do his job well.

“I believe that my career still has a number of years left. I hope to play for Napoli until I retire – and I’ll be delighted if that happened.”

The 35-year-old, 35 games so far this season in the League, is presently tied to the Azzurri until June 2013.

His agent Andrea Pastorello has admitted in the past that he expects his client to be handed a new deal in Naples.

The Italian international joined Napoli in 2009 after a spell at Sevilla and Galatasaray.
