De Rossi, 30, won his first cap under Marcello Lippi in September 2004.

Facchetti is seventh in the all-time appearance list thanks to his 94 caps.

Ahead of him are Gianluca Zambrotta (98), Andrea Pirlo (106), Dino Zoff (112), Paolo Maldini (126), Fabio Cannavaro (136) and Gigi Buffon (138).
