Roma are incredibly happy with the work of Daniele De Rossi and will sit down with the coach to discuss a new contract after the recent win over Brighton.

The former midfielder has only suffered one defeat in his first 10 games in charge of the Giallorossi after taking over from Jose Mourinho back in December, and he looked a class above in the recent Europa League clash with Brighton, guiding the team to a 4-0 win at home.

De Rossi has instantly proven himself an exciting coach at Roma and now he’s fighting to secure a top four finish with the club, something Mourinho failed to achieve across his two complete seasons in charge.

Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto provided an update on the future of De Rossi at Roma via Caught Offside.

The Friedkin family are satisfied with the Italian coach’s work and will sit down with his representatives in the coming weeks to discuss a long-term deal in the capital.

Whilst no final decision has been made yet, it’s clear that De Rossi has hit the ground running with Roma and the squad are fully behind him heading into the final months of the campaign.
